David spent the past 5 years working at AstraZeneca where he led multi-million dollar projects in late-stage clinical development. This gave him a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical sector, what it takes to deliver new medicines to patients, and a passion for the role drug development can play in improving the world.

Aanika is a quantitative-minded generalist with a background in applied mathematics and cognitive science. She has experience in research, operations, and organisational culture building, and is passionate about high-leverage, structural opportunities for impact.
Co-Founder & Head of Expansion
Sofya has over 3 years of experience in the biosecurity space, and a PhD (in progress) in Clinical Medicine at Oxford. She will be working on this project part-time, providing additional research capacity and helping facilitate connections in academia. She's half scientist, half entrepreneur, and all about positive impact.

Alex Bongers
Alex is a registered pharmacist with over a decade of procurement experience for public and private clients in Australia as well as Asia, Africa and the Pacific. He has completed procurement and supply chain engagements for the World Health Organisation, Crown Agents, Global Fund, Fleming Fund and the Australian Government Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade. He has contributed to projects to improve the availability of medicines and health commodities, provided analytics and advice on the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, activities to improve laboratory capacity as well as the implementation of electronic Logistics Management Information Systems.
Sam Hilton
Sam runs the research team at Charity Entrepreneurship identifying evidence-based and cost-effective interventions for new charities, with a focus on global development. Sam has 7 years’ experience in UK government and policy roles; these include managing the UK Parliament's cross-party group on Future Generations and leading the UK government team responsible for civil nuclear safety policy. He has also held senior roles at a number of impactful charities such as The Life You Can Save.
Patrick Stadler
Patrick is a co-founder of Pour Demain, a European based non-profit working on pandemic preparedness and new technologies. He was previously a political advisor for Switzerland’s economic development agency where he participated in the negotiations on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. He also worked on strategic communications in the context of peacebuilding and mediation at the United Nations Department of Political Affairs in New York. Additionally, he is the co-founder of New Incentives, a Give-Well incubated charity which gives cash incentives to boost childhood immunisation rates in Nigeria.
Josh Morrison
Josh Morrison is a serial social entrepreneur and aspiring effective altruist who has founded 1Day Sooner, Waitlist Zero, and the Rikers Debate Project. His work – in the fields of clinical trials, living organ donation, and criminal justice reform – focuses on empowering particular identity groups (research participants, kidney donors, and incarcerated people) to improve decision-making processes so as to achieve impactful policy. His projects have been covered globally in outlets such as the New York Times, CNN, the Financial Times, the BBC, Der Spiegel, Asahi Shimbun, and the South China Morning Post. His writing has been published in the Washington Post, the American Journal of Bioethics, Clinical Infectious Disease, Vaccine, Risk Analysis, Vox, STAT News, and BMJ Opinion.
Bahadir Sirin
Bahadir is the founder and president of the Global Policy Research Group—a research think tank based in Sweden. He has advised think tanks, companies, EU institutions, and various government agencies. With a background in economics and development studies, Bahadir has previously held positions at media outlets, a university, and a development agency. He is fluent in English, Swedish, and Turkish.
Akhil Bansal
Akhil is a practising doctor and global health researcher based in London. He has previously worked at Schmidt Futures, Charity Entrepreneurship, and done consulting work for Open Philanthropy. He has a primary interest in antimicrobial resistance, and runs the AMR Funding Circle, a grant making coalition of philanthropic funders interested in AMR
