2024 In-Review: ARMoR's Annual Newsletter

It’s been an exciting year for ARMoR!

In 2024, we have worked hard to drive policy change to combat the rising threat of resistance to antimicrobials through a combination of research, advocacy, and informational lobbying. While there is still a long road ahead, we have been encouraged by the progression of the conversation around these policies and the engagements that we have had with policymakers in the EU, Member States and beyond.

Some highlights from this year include:

🔶 Published our analysis on the ROI of pull incentives in EU member states which has been used in conversations with 10+ governments.

🔶 Invited as an expert speaker by the European Commission to present on pull incentives to EU Member State representatives.

🔶 Presented on pull incentives at the UK embassy in Stockholm in a workshop for Nordic and Baltic countries.

We are incredibly grateful for the encouragement, guidance, and support from so many individuals and organisations. Your involvement has been instrumental to our progress; none of our achievements would have been possible without the collective efforts of those who have helped us along the way.

To recap our first year of operations, we’d like to use this newsletter to reflect on the progress we’ve made and challenges we’ve encountered, as well as sharing our key strategic objectives moving forward. Our goal is to provide those who have supported our work or are interested in learning more about what we do with a transparent view of what we’ve achieved, insights gained, and how we plan to leverage these experiences in the coming year.
